What's new: more speed, flexibility, and control
Shopify understands the financial challenges that commerce businesses face and the opportunities they need to succeed. That’s why we continue to invest in money tools that remove barriers and support your business at every stage of growth.
Here's a quick recap of what's new.
The most flexible and accessible Capital yet
The new Capital flex account1 (available in the US) provides continuous access to the funds you need to seize growth opportunities the moment they strike. With just one application, you can get ongoing access to funding as you repay. We've also expanded access to our existing performance-based, fixed funding offering2 across more European markets.
Credit card limits that grow with your business
New dynamic credit limits for Shopify Credit3 automatically adjust based on store performance, so your access to credit meets your business needs in real-time. We've also raised the rewards cap to $250,000, so you earn even more cash back on eligible expenses4.
Manage budgets effortlessly
Save time allocating funds for ongoing business expenses and obligations like payroll, marketing, inventory, and sales tax with automated transfers that divide payouts into designated Balance accounts5 .
More ways to move money, faster
With same-day ACH, you can pay suppliers and yourself within the same or next business day when you transfer by 1 pm ET6. And now, you can add checks to your Balance account right from the Shopify mobile app—and get extra earnings7 on every dollar.
More control and security at your fingertips
With real-time SMS fraud alerts, you can quickly deny or confirm suspected fraud on Balance and Credit transactions, and easily manage disputes directly from admin—no need to contact Support. Store owners with staff can delegate spending while maintaining full financial control by issuing cards with spending limits for Balance and Credit accounts.
Your financial partner in commerce
Your financial tools should provide a foundation for efficient business growth, not stand in your way. Shopify Finance gives you a strategic advantage with flexible tools powered by your store’s performance data, to help you navigate any sales period and every stage of growth with more cash flow, visibility, and control.

The availability of funds is not guaranteed and remains subject to additional approval. All flex account withdrawals are due in full within a maximum of 18 months from the date of the withdrawal.
2 Available in select countries. Offers to apply do not guarantee financing.
