An official shipping label—the kind carriers accept—includes a scannable barcode, prepaid postage, and a tracking number. It's issued by a carrier like USPS, UPS, or FedEx, or through a platform like Shopify Shipping.
The template includes a field where you can enter a tracking number, but it doesn't generate one. Real tracking numbers come from your carrier when you purchase postage. Until then, the field is blank.
